If your child was born between 1 January to 31 March you can check your eligibility for funding from 1 December and your child will be able to access a place from 1 April.

If your child was born between 1 April to 31 August you can check your eligibility for funding from 1 March and your child will be able to access a place from 1 September, after their second birthday.

If your child was born between 1 September to 31 December, you can check your eligibility for funding from 1 August and your child will be able to access a place from 1 January, after their second birthday.
Eligibility:
The parent or carer of the child requiring funding, should be able to provide evidence of being in receipt of one of the following:

Income support

Income-based Job Seekers Allowance

Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
-
Support under Part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

The Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit

Child Tax Credit and/or Working Tax Credit and have an annual income under £16,190 assessed by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs
-
The Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

Universal Credit, and your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments

Child is looked after by the local authority

Disability Living Allowance for the two year old
